Life In New York City
One of my favorite places in New York City is the Midtown Library at the corner of 5th avenue and 40th street. The 3rd floor is my favorite since it holds all of the art, fashion and craft books. Although I do plenty of research via the internet, I find it so much more satisfying going to the library or a bookstore. It feels more personal and I like the fact that I may end up finding a book on a subject I would have never thought to research in the first place! Going to the library also gives me a chance to get out of my studio and clear my mind. I end up coming back with better ideas and a fresher frame of mind. Here’s a selection of what I picked up today.
I love the 5th floor history section as well.
